THE FIVE DIVINE PRESENCES OF MAN

"So, the Tijani Murid will gather his outward self (Zahiruhu) in the Shari'a, and spread out his inward reality (Batinuhu) in the Haqiqa; while his Tariqa is between the two. He would thus be perfect in his spiritual state (Hal) and complete in his spiritual wayfaring (Sulûk).

His Shaykh will teach him by means of the tongue of subtle indications (Lisan al-Ishara), how the degrees (Maratib) of the inner Subtle Energy Faculties, or Chakras (Lata'if) extend to the Presence of his Lord. His innermost being (Sirr) is in His Hahut; his spirit (Rûh) is in His Lahut; his intellect (Aql) is in His Jabarut; his heart (Qalb) is in His Malakut; and his soul (Nafs) is in His Nasut.

His Shaykh will make him to realize (through direct experience & 'tasting') the Oneness of the Divine Acts (Tawhid al-Af'al), the Oneness of the Divine Names & Attributes (Tawhid al-Asma wa's Sifat) & the Oneness of the Divine Being (Tawhid al-Dhat)."
